Three Wipfli principals named as BizTimes Milwaukee Rising Stars in Technology

BizTimes Milwaukee has named three Wipfli LLP technology leaders — Marcie Bomberg-Montoya, Andrew Potasek and Tom Wojcinski — to its inaugural showcase of Rising Stars in Technology, recognizing young, talented professionals working for tech firms in southeastern Wisconsin or in technology-related roles for companies in the region.

Marcie Bomberg-Montoya, principal at Wipfli, has more than 25 years of financial services and technology industry experience. She has demonstrated leadership in strategy and innovation and has also had a significant role in establishing Wipfli’s presence in the world of crypto and blockchain.

For 15 years, Andrew Potasek, principal at Wipfli, has worked to help nonprofit organizations increase their impact on the communities they serve. He helps organizations streamline their processes and align technology to their business objectives. During the pandemic, Potasek designed neighbor-helping-neighbor applications with nonprofits to help individuals in need of food, clothing and other resources.

Colleagues say Tom Wojcinski, principal at Wipfli, challenges them to push through uncomfortable situations and grow their own capabilities. Wojcinski led several growth initiatives and sales process improvements resulting in improved sales performance and developed Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification readiness services to help U.S. Department of Defense contractors.
