Kim Kirk is the executive vice president and COO of Queensborough National Bank & Trust Company, a $2 billion dollar financial institution based in Louisville, Georgia, with a 23-branch network spanning from Augusta to Savannah.
Kim is responsible for information technology, information security, program and project management, vendor management, business intelligence, core solutions, deposit, cash management, eft operations, retail operations and product management. She began her banking career as a bank examiner for the state of South Carolina regulating state-chartered banks and trust companies before transitioning into community banking in 2002. Kim worked with four de novo banks prior to joining Queensborough in various finance and operations capacities.
Most recently, Kim served as director of operations at CertusBank, N.A., a $1.8 billion dollar de novo in Greenville, South Carolina, where she managed the bank's integration processes, operations, core and reporting platforms. Kim also led the deconversion process as CertusBank, N.A. sold its banking operations to six acquirers, enabling the bank to successfully self-liquidate and debank.
Kim earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Furman University and her MBA from Clemson University, and she is a graduate of the American Bankers Association’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Kim is past chair of the Georgia Bankers Association Operations and Technology Committee and current vice chair of the ABA Core Platforms Committee. She is also a member of the ABA Community Bankers Council, the ICBA ThinkTECH Selection Committee, the CBA of Georgia Innovation Committee where she works with the ATDC and Georgia Fintech Academy, and a Senior Member of FSSCC. Kim was also named a Standout in Community Banking by American Banker in their 2021 Most Powerful Women in Banking Program.
