Determined to “do CRM right”

Shortly after Faith Technologies deployed its customer relationship management (CRM) system, the program champion retired, and user adoption stalled. Determined to “do CRM right,” Faith Technologies enlisted Wipfli to revive and expand its CRM program.

The Challenge

Faith Technologies is one of the largest privately held electrical contractors in the U.S., with five locations in five states. It implemented a CRM to coordinate its sales cycle and business opportunities across the country. Shortly after the CRM launched, its champion retired, and interest in the tool waned. Leaders knew the solution had potential but didn’t know how to reactivate it.

The Solution

Wipfli introduced Faith Technologies to a contractor-specific CRM solution: Wipfli Connect for Contractors. The simple interface integrates the company’s CRM solution with applications that employees are familiar with. Wipfli met with IT and business development teams to understand their needs, set the scope and establish design requirements. Wipfli also crafted a thorough training program to encourage adoption and help employees realize value from the solution.

The insights we’ve gained into our business and the process improvements we’ve secured from the implementation process alone have been worth the investment. ROI has been realized. We plan to expand the program’s scope and add additional teams to further maximize our value.
Troy Thompson, IT director and CRM project manager at Faith Technologies

The results

With Wipfli Connect for Contractors, Faith Technologies has a single, accurate view into its sales cycle. Employees can access up-to-the-minute, actionable data that helps them collaborate and close sales. The company leverages forecasting and reporting features to capture activity and track sales opportunities, estimates and awards. ROI has been realized — and Faith Technologies plans to maximize the CRM’s value by expanding it into more departments.
