Wipfli LLP (Wipfli), a top 20 accounting and consulting firm, announced that Matthew Kleinow has joined the firm as a partner in its tax practice.
Kleinow joins Wipfli with more than 15 years of experience in federal, state and international tax, serving both publicly and privately held companies. He has extensive experience with tax provision matters, transaction support, tax co-sourcing and tax outsourcing services. Kleinow will play a key role in serving the firm’s closely held clients.
“The tax profession is not a transactional business for me. It’s a relationship business,” Kleinow said. “Being with Wipfli provides that opportunity to know my clients and build long-lasting relationships.”
“Matt’s a diligent tax professional who has a way of building strong, trusted relationships with clients and colleagues. That’s a key value for us at Wipfli. Beyond that, his national experience and mentor mindset will help build our practice,” said Scott Schumacher, Wipfli’s Tax Practice leader.
Kleinow is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants (WICPA). As part of the WICPA, he serves on the federal taxation committee and the public policy committee.
Kleinow holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and a Master of Science degree in taxation from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Lubar School of Business.
